  • Participant with basic Hazardous Areas knowledge or those who have previously attended the Hazardous Area Classifications Awareness seminar

  • Understand Hazardous environment
  • Understand the factors leading to area classification
  • Able to identify flammable products and determine physical properties
  • Able to identify the potential points of release.
  • Able to determine extent and zone classification of each release point
  • Able to support the design team to generate classification drawing that can be used for selection and installation of Ex equipment per IEC 60079-10-1
  • Good understanding on various Codes of Practice

  8. Illustrative & Descriptive scenario with examples to analyse & classify the given area

Assessment
Theory assessment of 30 multiple choice questions as well as to perform Area classification for a given scenario with data which will enable each participant to demonstrate their knowledge and understanding of the course. Participants are best equipped to achieve competency in this unit if they have met a total of 75% passing mark. This will consist of working on case studies & Multiple Choice Questions.
