The CompEx Foundation course has been designed to provide an introduction into locations containing hazardous atmospheres where gases, vapours and combustible dusts exist and provides learners with an understanding of explosive atmospheres, hazardous area classification, protection concepts associated with Ex certified equipment and associated regulations, directives and standards.
This qualification ensures that learners understand key safety principles, regulatory frameworks, and explosion protection methods to support compliance and risk management.
Certification
CompEx Certificate in Foundation in Hazardous Awareness which is valid for 5 years.
Successful completion of this qualification is not intended to infer full occupational competence of a candidate.
This theory-only course is suitable for (but not limited to) technical and non-technical personnel who wish to build on their awareness or who wish to develop their knowledge before undertaking more technical CompEx qualifications.
There are no formal entry requirements or prerequisites for attending this course, but delegates should have;
- Basic Electrical Knowledge
- English Proficiency
Application procedure
CompEx Course Registration Process:
- All delegates are required to register directly via the CompEx portal prior to application.
- Self Registration on the CompEx portal (https://registration.compexcertification.com/)
- The delegates will be given a ULN Number for course registration.
- Upon application, please provide the ULN Number.
All applications are to be submitted (with full documentation) via email (enquiry@atts-asia.com) at least 7 working days prior to course commencing date. Successful applicants will receive the course confirmation and payment advisory email. Registration is only confirmed upon full payment of course fees.
