REQUIREMENTS
  • The applicant shall have the level of technical education (or equivalent) attained, relevant to the application, through documents such as Degree, Diploma and College Certificates etc
  • A minimum 3 years’ experience in general electrical installation design or supervised Hazardous Area installation design

Application procedures
All applications are to be submitted (with full documentation) via email (enquiry@atts-asia.com) at least 7 working days prior to course commencing date. Successful applicants will receive the course confirmation and payment advisory email. Registration is only confirmed upon full payment of course fees.

  • This course covers the basic principles of protection in explosive atmospheres of plant and machinery outlined in IECEx 60079 series and OD 504
  • The explosion-protection aspects of designing electrical power, control and instrumentation systems and installations

Certification
IECEx CoPC – Certificate of Competency issued by CTE, Australia.

This course is suitable for electrical technicians/tradesman and or engineers working in or associated with explosive atmospheres (hazardous areas).

Unit Ex 001 – Principles of protection in explosive atmospheres knowledge
Unit Ex 009 – Design electrical installations in or associated with explosive atmospheres
