The aim of this course is to provide a theoretical understanding of safety practices for both low-voltage and high-voltage electrical installations, focusing on hazard identification, risk mitigation, and adherence to industry safety standards. Additionally the learner will cover knowledge of first aid principles related to electrical accidents and injuries, including the recognition of common hazards, emergency response protocols, and the role of safety planning. This will help safeguard the workplace and prevent accidents and injuries.
Those employees who work with and carry out maintenance on both low-voltage and high-voltage electrical systems in all types of marine vessels utilised across various sectors. As well as electricians, this could also include instrument, telecoms and automation personnel.
Course requirements
- Candidates must have at least Basic Electrical Knowledge.
- Experience in HVLV environment is recommended.
