Final Assessment: To receive the CompEx certificate, the candidate will be required to pass the assessment in the course with a score of 70% or higher. Instructions will be given in the course on where to register on the CompEx website to receive their CompEx ULN. This should be sent to ATTS who will then send the CompEx certificate. The CompEx certificate will be valid for 5 years.

The objective of the CompEx Ex Awareness (ExA) course is to provide participants with a fundamental understanding of hazardous areas and the precautions required to work safely within them. The course introduces the basic principles of explosion protection, common ignition sources, hazardous area risks, and safe working practices. Upon completion, participants will be able to recognize potential hazards, understand the importance of Ex equipment, and contribute to maintaining a safe working environment in industries where explosive atmospheres may be present.
The CompEx Ex Awareness (ExA) course is intended for individuals who may enter or work within hazardous areas but are not required to carry out installation, inspection, or maintenance of explosion-protected equipment. It is particularly suitable for non-technical personnel, contractors, visitors, supervisors, logistics personnel, and support staff who need a basic understanding of hazardous area safety and the risks associated with explosive atmospheres.
Candidates must have at least Basic Electrical Knowledge.
Candidate will require to be equipped with a good internet connection (i.e. bandwidth 1.5Mbps up / 1.5 Mbps down) and speaker.
