The CompEx Ex Awareness is designed to introduce you to the essential knowledge required to work safely in environments where explosive atmospheres may exist. Whether you’re new to the industry or supporting hazardous area operations, this awareness-level course helps you understand the risks and safety principles that keep people and workplaces protected.

Candidates that successfully complete the Ex Awareness Qualification will be able to –

  • Recognise how to identify a hazardous area.
  • Understand how to work safely in hazardous areas.
  • Recognise correct behaviours required to participate in a safety concious culture.

Certification

CompEx Ex Awareness which is valid for 5 years.
Successful completion of this qualification is not intended to infer full occupational competence of a candidate.

This course is designed for anyone who enters, supports, or interacts with hazardous areas—even if they’re not directly involved in electrical or technical work.

By building a strong understanding of key hazards, safety principles, and compliance requirements, this course helps create a safer, more informed workforce.

There are no formal entry requirements or prerequisites for attending this course, but delegates should have;

  • Basic Electrical Knowledge
  • English Proficiency

Application Procedure

CompEx Course Registration Process:

  1. All delegates are required to self-register directly via the CompEx portal prior to application.
  2. Self Registration on the CompEx portal (https://registration.compexcertification.com/)
  3. The delegates will be given a ULN Number for course registration.
  4. Upon application, please provide the ULN Number.

All applications are to be submitted (with full documentation) via email (enquiry@atts-asia.com) at least 7 working days prior to course commencing date. Successful applicants will receive the course confirmation and payment advisory email. Registration is only confirmed upon full payment of course fees.
