TARGET AUDIENCE

This course is designed for electrical personnel working with equipment controlled by Programmable Logic Controller. The individual must have basic knowledge of electrical control components such as relays, sensors, analogy measuring device, etc.

COURSE OUTLINE

The course covers the operation of the common programmable logic controller used in rig equipment. Practical training will be conducted with the simulators or test rack running on Allen Bradley, GE Fanuc and Siemens. The class room step-by-step guided hands-on tutorial with the PLC software will be provided. The trainee will be also given hands-on practice to connect the laptop to the PLC for troubleshooting purpose.

COURSE OBJECTIVES

The course objective is to increase candidates’ knowledge and confidence in the maintenance of PLC systems. The course will expose them to the common PLC used in the rig equipment. It provides practical scenarios in a realistic environment to increase fault finding and problem solving skills in PLC system. Our working systems give hands on experience that is difficult to acquire in real equipment operation.
